So I have been reading 1984, but I just can not seem to get into the book for the life of me. It's not that interesting or the type of book i'm interested in. So i'm switching to Pride & Prejudice by Jane Austen. Some of you may have seen the movie, but i haven't. This book is about how these sisters who wont get married. Their mom is trying everything to find them a husband, but Elizabeth Bennet, the main character, is doing everything she can to find something wrong with every guy she meets. I'm kind of excited to read this book, because it sounds like something I would love to read. I will keep updates on how its going.

  1. Youre switching from 1984 to Pride and Prejudice?? That book is a 1000x more boring haha. I tried reading it over the summer and it is so long and boring. I would recommend staying with 1984 you'll find it more interesting as you read!

  2. I agree with Dallas I read this this summer and the beginning is very dry. As you continue it gets better but if you do not have the patience for 1984 you will not have patience for this. If you like romance and have patience for dry books this is a great book though.

  3. I agree with both Dani & Dallas. I've never read Pride and Prejudice but I have read 1984. Several people have told me how dry Pride and Prejudice is, so I'm glad i've never read it. I hope you enjoy it, though.

  9. That does sound like a good book! I tried to read it when I was in 5th grade or something but I had no clue what it was about and I couldn't understand it either so I stop. If you really like this book I might have to try it again.

  10. I've always wanted to read this book because I have seen it in movies and the way that they talk about it makes it seem interesting! Glad your going to keep updates so I can see if I actually want to read sometime in the future.

  11. Hmmm... I've seen the 90's tv mini-movie back in the day. (MY sisters said it was greater then sliced bread.) I've never really cared for it back in the day, but I now look at at as this: As a middle-class socialist, I can't help but just wonder how odd rich people are. And as a guy whose never read it, well, let's just say I was busy playing games instead.

  12. I tried watching the movie, and honestly, I fell asleep in the first ten minutes. But thats probably because I had no idea what the heck was going on. Nobody had really told me. They just kept saying, 'Oh you'll love this! You'll love this!' But the description here does make it sound a little interesting. It sounds like something I might read too
