For the past week or two we have been learning about Chinese Literature and its been interesting to say the least. We've learned about Confucianism, Buddhism, and Taoism. We've had to figure out how to translate the chinese symbols into what we thought the poem said. We had this word bank type thing so it wasn't that bad. When Mrs. Olson read how the other two people translated it, we weren't that far off which was cool cause i did think we would do so hot on it. We also compared the Chinese folk songs to American folk songs and you could tell the difference in what they value and what we do. There's is always about love and ours is always about freedom what what has happened in the past. To me it was very interesting and was really glad we got to learn about all of it.

  5. It's amazing to see how different, and yet so alike ancient civilizations are like. (Even Aboriginal cultures have some relations to older civilizations, like..... Oh forget it. Before I go on to an Irish monologue)
